You have a variety of options for paying your bill, including: 1) Cash; 2) Check; 3) Money Order; 4) Credit Card (VISA or MasterCard only); 5) Automatic Bank Draft; or 6) On-line Bill Payment. Your payments can be made at the downtown office located at 263 E Main Plaza, by calling our automated phone payment service at 1-855-215-5938 when paying with Visa, MasterCard, or E-check, or we also offer Western Union Convenience Pay at several area stores. You are also welcome to call our Main Office on any business day, Monday-Friday between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m. to pay by Visa or MasterCard.
PLEASE NOTE: Due to rising costs associated with credit card use, the maximum amount that can be charged by any one customer for their monthly bill payment—regardless of the number of meters or locations—is $1,500. This limit is necessary in order to avoid having to pass the credit card company fees on to those customers who utilize this payment method. It enables NBU to continue to accept credit cards for payments—whether in person, over the phone, through the mail or with our online bill payment program—without having to apply a convenience fee.
If your monthly bills typically run more than the $1,500 limit, you may want to consider utilizing an electronic check to pay your bill instead. By registering your account on-line at www.nbutexas.com, you can use an electronic check to pay directly from your personal or business checking account. It is a safe, secure and FREE way to pay your bills every month.
