Garbage and Recycling

The City of New Braunfels provides the garbage, recycling, and green waste collection services for those living within the city limits. The City issues each residence a green 96-gallon cart for garbage and a blue 96-gallon cart for recycling. Smaller 48-gallon carts are available and extra carts are available, though fees may apply for extra carts. Green waste (small brush, grass, and leaves) is collected using city-provided or self-purchased kraft paper bags. Limited city-provided bags are found at NBU’s Main Office, New Braunfels Public Library, The City Recycle Center, McKenna Gym, and Landa Recreation Center.

Those who live outside the city limits must subscribe to solid waste services through a private hauler. Contact Waste Management (210) 648-6006 or IESI (800) 581-5825 to find out who services garbage in your area.
