NBU delays office opening to 10 a.m.

Due to the high probability of inclement icy weather, NBU will delay opening until 10 a.m. on Tuesday, January 16. As the weather event develops, further updates will be posted. Stand-by crews have been activated and are ready to respond throughout the night and into the coming days. if we start having issues, customers can monitor outages at www.nbuoutageinfo.com. to report an outage and our Control Center can be contacted at 830-608-8800. New Online Payment Platform

Texting outage notification

NBU is excited to announce its new Texting Outage Notification System. This new service is an added convenience for NBU electric customers that gives you the ability to report outages and check the status of outages with a quick text message and to receive automated text notifications about outages and restoration of power. To learn more, click here



Non stage watering rules in effect

NBU customers are under non stage watering rules which allows for use of a sprinkler or irrigation system any day of the week as long as it is before 10 a.m. or after 8 p.m. Read more here.

 


Maximum
effective impact fees in

Impact fees increased to the maximum effective rate on October 1. The fee affects only new construction seeking connection to the NBU water and wastewater systems. Read more here.
