Stage 1 watering restrictions in effect

NBU customers are now under Stage 1 watering restrictions. Watering with a sprinkler or irrigation system will be allowed 1 day a week based on the ending number of your address.

0 or 1 Monday

2 or 3 Tuesday

4 or 5 Wednesday

6 or 7 Thursday

8 or 9 Friday

More information about reductions in non-essential use of water is available here. You are welcome to call the NBU Water Regulation Hotline at  (830) 608-8925 for the latest watering restrictions and for help in identifying ways to keep your water use efficient and effective year round!


NBU Board approves going to

maximum effective impact fee

Impact fees will increase to the maximum effective rate on October 1. The fee affects only new construction seeking connection to the NBU water and wastewater systems. Read more here.


Water Meter Change Out Continues

Contractors installing water AMI meters will place a door hanger on customers' doors to let the customer know their meter will be changed out within two weeks. There is no additional charge to customers for the meter change out! These meters will bring exciting benefits to customers, including early leak detection, the ability to set up customizable notifications about usage, and more! Texting outage notification

NBU is excited to announce its new Texting Outage Notification System. This new service is an added convenience for NBU electric customers that gives you the ability to report outages and check the status of outages with a quick text message and to receive automated text notifications about outages and restoration of power. To learn more, click here
