Traffic lanes to be reduced on Seguin Avenue
NEW BRAUNFELS—NBU crews will be working on a sewer
main in the 200 block of South Seguin Avenue on Wednesday, January 15 in
front of the On the Halfshell Oyster Bar. The work will require that Seguin
Avenue be reduced to one lane of traffic for drivers approaching the Main
Plaza in order to maneuver equipment and ensure the safety of crews working
in the area, as well as to expedite the project. Weather permitting, the
work will begin at 8:30 a.m. and is expected to be finished by 4 p.m.
Following the completion of the work, metal plates will be put into place
until the specific paving material needed for this section roadway can be
ordered and scheduled for installation. These are expected to be in place
for several weeks.
Drivers who typically access this area of Seguin Avenue are advised to seek
an alternate route during this time. Crews will be working to complete the
project as quickly as possible and minimize any inconvenience to area drivers.
Please direct questions about the work to the NBU Water Department at (830)
608-8831.
