Quarterly PEERS Award presented to NBU employee

NEW BRAUNFELS—NBU employee Paul Gonzales was recently recognized with the PEERS Award for the second quarter of 2004 by his co-workers for his job performance and commitment. PEERS stands for Performance, Effort, Efficiency, Recognition and Selection. All NBU employees are encouraged to submit nominations for this award on a quarterly basis. NBU managers review submittals along with the individuals’ performance and decide on an employee who has excelled in his or her duties for that time period.

Gonzales joined NBU as a Lineman III in the Water Distribution & Collection Division in September 1999. His duties include water meter installation and removal, repairing water leaks and clearing sewer chokes, and water meter repair and maintenance. In this capacity, he often has direct contact with NBU customers. The professional and courteous manner in which he handles their issues is greatly appreciated by both the customer as well as his co-workers. Gonzales is also charged with training co-workers and he works extensively with them to ensure that they completely understand the processes of the job.

For his efforts, his co-workers are proud to present Paul Gonzales with the PEERS Award for the second quarter of 2004.
