NBU Board of Trustees approves Care Certificates
NEW BRAUNFELS—Customers searching
for unique gifts for birthdays, anniversaries or special
occasions have a new option from New Braunfels Utilities.
Care Certificates are a great gift idea for those hard-to-buy-for
people on your list, as well as those who need help
reducing a utility bill, such as a senior citizen,
newlywed couple, single parent or college student.
“Many churches, service organizations
and generous individuals look for this type of practical
gift that directly benefits those less fortunate,”
explains Judy Waring, NBU Executive Director of Customer & Employee
Services. “A Care Certificate from NBU gives a thoughtful,
helpful boost for anyone dealing with a tight budget.”
Those receiving gift certificates
can bring them to the NBU Main Office or mail them
in with their monthly bill payment. The amount of the
certificate is deducted from the bill total. The certificates
are available in increments of $25. No additional service
or activation fees or costs are charged. The certificates
do not have to have the buyer’s name on them, so customers
can anonymously help someone in their family, neighborhood,
or place of worship.
NBU’s Care Certificates offer timesaving convenience
to shoppers who want variety and choice when buying a gift, without facing
the crowds at a mall. The certificates will be available for purchase
in mid-January from an NBU Customer Service Representative at the Main
Office. Customers with questions are welcome to call (830) 629-8400.
