NBU employees receive recognition for No Lost Time
NEW BRAUNFELS—The employees of New Braunfels Utilities
were recently recognized by the Texas Electric Cooperatives (TEC) for achieving
over 1 Million No Lost Time Hours. A certificate was presented to NBU during
the TEC Loss Control annual meeting in recognition of the 1,964,250 hours
that NBU employees achieved without a lost time accident. TEC Loss Control
has presented this award for the past two years to both electric cooperatives
and municipal utilities. To date, only five cooperatives and municipals have
been recognized with the 1 Million No Lost Time Hours certificate. NBU currently
holds the record for most hours accumulated by any of the 55 cooperatives
and 20 municipal utilities involved in the TEC Loss Control Program, which
focuses on safety awareness and workplace practices for utility employees.
