NBU schedules valve box repair on Walnut Avenue
NEW BRAUNFELS—Weather permitting, area drivers may
experience delays beginning at 8:30
a.m. on Tuesday, May 1 as NBU crews replace a water valve box in the 1000
block of Walnut
Avenue. The westbound lane of traffic in front of Schlotzsky’s Deli
will be reduced to one lane
of traffic while the work is being performed. Crews expect to complete the
work by 4 p.m. The
lane closure is necessary in order to maneuver equipment and ensure the safety
of crews working
in the area, as well as to expedite the project.
Drivers who typically access
westbound Walnut Avenue during this time are advised to seek an
alternate route during this time to avoid delays. NBU crews will be working
to complete the
project as quickly as possible and minimize any inconvenience to area residents.
Please direct
questions about the work to the NBU Water Department at 608-8831.
