SAFEhaven in Schools 2006 Contest Rules

Making Safety Fun for School Kids

As area school children get back into the swing of a new school year,
NBU are joining forces to help make it a fun fall semester. Starting in
September, Chuck & Bucky – part of the NBU SAFEhaven team – will be
visiting New Braunfels area schools and inviting children, in grades
kindergarten through third, to participate in the annual SAFEhaven
coloring book contest.

How to Enter

Entries can be found in SAFEhaven coloring books which will be passed
out in conjunction with each SAFEhaven in Schools show. Parents are
invited to send their child’s masterpiece to New Braunfels Utilities, c/o
SAFEhaven Coloring Book Contest, P.O. Box 310289, New Braunfels, TX
78131-0289. Four lucky winners (one from each grade) will receive a
Spiel-Meister membership to the McKenna Children’s Museum. Their
class will also be treated to a field trip to the McKenna Children’s Museum
in January. Entries must be received by 5 p.m. on Wednesday,
December 13, 2006 in order to qualify.

OFFICIAL RULES: No purchase is necessary to enter and no entry fees will be charged. Use an official entry form or a photocopy to enter. SAFEhaven coloring books are available through participating schools and New Braunfels Utilities. Mail entries to: New Braunfels Utilities, c/o SAFEhaven Coloring Book Contest, P.O. Box 310289, New Braunfels, TX 78131-0289. Entries must be received by Wednesday, December 13, 2006. Only one entry per child is permitted and only drawings by children in grades kindergarten through third grade will be judged. Judging will be done by an independent panel on or about December 18, 2006. There is only one round to this contest. Decisions of the judges are final. Winners must attend a participating New Braunfels area school within the NBU service territory and may be asked to sign an affidavit of eligibility and release and their names, pictures and likeness may be used for publicity purposes without further compensation. All prizes are nontransferable and all entries become the property of New Braunfels Utilities. There can be no more than one winner per household. All taxes are the responsibility of the winner. This contest is void where prohibited. Chance of winning depends on the number of entries received.
