(New Braunfels, TX \u2013 March 8, 2021) \u2013 As a part of the western portion of the New Braunfels Utilities (NBU) Castell Avenue 24-inch Water Line Project, West Torrey Street between Elizabeth Avenue and Mulberry Avenue will remain closed from March 8 to March 11, 2022.  This brief closure will allow crews to upgrade aging water lines that are expected to increase water and wastewater service reliability in the downtown area. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

A detour will be in place to redirect traffic. Spiess Construction Company, Ltd. is the contractor performing the construction on the 24-inch water and wastewater line for the project.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

New Braunfels Utilities will provide up to date traffic impacts for Capital Improvement Projects such as this one on nbutexas.com\/current-construction-impacts-and-road-closures<\/a>, and on its Facebook<\/a> and Twitter<\/a> social media channels.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
