Scheduled for completion in the spring of 2023, this more than $11.5 million SWTP Project is expected to provide much-needed transmission capacity support to the Landa Park Pump Station and alleviate high-pressure issues in the area. This capital improvement project is another example of NBU\u2019s commitment to ensuring resilience in its utility system.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Project will bring lane and road closures during March and April.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Gruene Road, from Hanz Drive to Rivercrest Drive, is scheduled for all-day lane and road closures from Monday, March 21, through Wednesday, March 30, 2022.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>All-day road and lane closures are scheduled for Wednesday, March 30, through Friday, April 8, 2022, on Gruene Road between Gruene Leaf Drive to Gruene Lake Drive.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Both closures will allow crews to install bores in the box culverts in preparation for the waterline installation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Pesado Construction is the contractor performing the construction for this part of the 24-inch and 30-inch discharge and water line project.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>New Braunfels Utilities provides up-to-date traffic impacts for Capital Improvement Projects such as this one on <a href=\"https:\/\/www.nbutexas.com\/current-construction-impacts-and-road-closures\/\">nbutexas.com\/current-construction-impacts-and-road-closures<\/a> and on its <a href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/newbraunfelsutilities\/\">Facebook<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/nbutexas\">Twitter<\/a> social media channels.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>All work is expected to be completed as scheduled, weather permitting.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Contact Desirae Medellin at 830.608.8971 or <a href=\"mailto:dmedellin@nbutexas.com\">dmedellin@nbutexas.com<\/a> with any questions regarding the Project.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large is-style-default\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.nbutexas.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/03\/Overall-Alignment-for-SWTP-Discharge-Line-1024x654.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-12409\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p><center>###<\/center><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><sup><strong>About New Braunfels Utilities:<\/strong><em><br>Dedicated to excellence in service, New Braunfels Utilities (NBU) was established in 1942 and is one of 2,000 community-owned, nonprofit public power electric utilities in the nation.
