In September 2022, NBU shifted from reporting the monthly cost of power to quarterly forecasting power costs to help consumers budget for their electricity bills.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The table below reflects the calendar year 2023 first-quarter <strong>total cost of power <em>forecast,<\/em> based on a residential average of 1,200 kWh usage<\/strong>. Implementing feedback from its customers, NBU redesigned the bills to display the costs associated with providing electric services.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>New Braunfels Utilities\u2019 customers can use the<a href=\"https:\/\/www.nbutexas.com\/bill-calculator\/\"> Residential Rate Calculator<\/a> to estimate monthly residential utility usage costs based on projected electricity, water, and wastewater use and other criteria.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Taking simple conservation measures can help reduce water and electric use, ultimately minimizing your utility bill.
