(New Braunfels, TX \u2013 August 26, 2021) \u2013 The Landa Street Bridge will be closed overnight on Thursday, September 2, 2021, from 9:00 p.m. to 5:00 a.m., to allow New Braunfels Utilities\u2019 contractor, Greenstone Electric Services, to replace two aging utility poles.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The first utility pole replacement will be south of Landa Street along the train tracks by the low clearance bridge. The second pole to be replaced is on Landa Street west of the Landa Park Drive, next to Big Chief Vacation Rentals.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Landa Street, between Landa Park Drive and West Zink Street, will be closed to allow crews to safely maneuver large equipment. Detour routes include:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u2022 Westbound traffic on Landa Street will detour north on West Zink Street up to North Market Avenue, continuing east to East San Antonio Street. Detour traffic will continue south to South Walnut Avenue, continuing west and back on to Landa Street.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u2022 Eastbound traffic will detour north on Landa Park Drive to Playground Drive, then continue west to Fredericksburg Road. Traffic will then be routed south to Landa Street, traveling west until reaching North Walnut Avenue. From North Walnut Avenue, traffic will be routed south to West San Antonio Street, curving northward to Seguin Avenue. At Seguin Avenue, traffic will be routed west on to North Seguin Avenue, ending back on Landa Street.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Traffic officers will be on-site to direct traffic.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

All work is expected to be completed as scheduled, weather permitting.
