NEW BRAUNFELS, Texas (October 30, 2025) — New Braunfels Utilities (NBU) will implement a temporary lane closure on McQueeney Road between Walnut Heights Blvd. and Northpark Ridge beginning Monday, Nov. 3, 2025, with expected completion on Wednesday, Nov. 5, 2025.

McQueeney Road will be reduced to one lane while crews perform inspection work on an 18-inch water main. Crews will operate until the work is complete. NBU is committed to completing this work as quickly and safely as possible to minimize public inconvenience.

Motorists should anticipate potential traffic delays in the area. Flaggers and traffic control measures will be in place to safely manage vehicle flow and protect both the public and work crews. Drivers are urged to use caution when traveling through the work zone.

The project is part of NBU’s commitment to maintaining system integrity and ensuring dependable, high-quality water service for the community.
