The City of New Braunfels handles operations for all residential and commercial garbage and recycling collections. NBU handles only the collection of payment for these services. Although you will see a charge each month on your NBU bill if you live within city limits, The City of New Braunfels can be contacted for any questions regarding service/billing.

There are several ways to pay your bill. Log into your NBU account to make one-time payments, set up auto-pay, or text to pay for future convenience.

Locate requests for NBU Electric, Water, and Wastewater are scheduled through Texas811

NOTE: Locates are only performed on public utility infrastructure; any water and/or wastewater utilities on private property should be located by a licensed plumber. The Texas One-Call law requires a request for locates to be submitted at least 48 hours prior to digging 16 inches or deeper.

Before you dig, even with a shovel, call Texas 811 to have underground lines marked. 

Maintaining trees is largely the responsibility of the property owner, but NBU will trim or remove trees that interfere with power lines. If you think your tree is a candidate, please contact us to make an appointment to inspect it:  830.608.8800 or controlcenter@nbutexas.com
