What Is One Water?

One Water New Braunfels is a collaborative program between New Braunfels Utilities, the City of New Braunfels, and Guadalupe-Blanco River Authority to provide integrated water management that is resilient, sustainable and beneficial to the greater New Braunfels area including upstream and downstream communities. New Braunfels Utilities is pleased to be the foundational partner helping to ensure water remains a celebrated and protected feature of our community.

Why It Matters to New Braunfels

The One Water approach recognizes that all water is connected. Instead of managing drinking water, stormwater, wastewater, and natural waterways separately, One Water looks at the full picture—how water moves through our community, how it’s used, and how we can protect it at every stage.

This integrated approach helps New Braunfels plan smarter, respond to drought more effectively, reduce waste, protect ecosystems, and ensure a reliable water supply for generations to come.
