Community Advisory Panel
Community Advisory Panel | Guiding NBU with Community Insight
A Voice for the New Braunfels Community

The Community Advisory Panel (CAP) of New Braunfels Utilities is a special-purpose advisory group to the NBU Board of Trustees. The group brings diverse perspectives from residents across NBU’s service area to share ideas, offer feedback, and help shape key utility decisions. The CAP strengthens collaboration, enhances communication, and ensures community voices are included as NBU plans for the future of our community.
How Members Are Selected
The CAP consists of 13 members, nominated to provide a balanced representation of the NBU service area. Seven members are nominated by the New Braunfels City Council. The NBU Board of Trustees nominates six members, including two at-large participants selected through a community application process.
