New Braunfels Utilities (NBU) welcomes three new members to its Community Advisory Panel (CAP), selected by City Council members to provide community perspectives on utility services, programs and long-term planning.

The newly appointed CAP members are:

• Bob King, appointed by District 1 City Council member Toni Carter
• Jimmy Owens, appointed by District 5 City Council member Mary Ann Labowski
• Jerico McKennon, appointed by District 6 City Council member Nikki Shaw

The CAP is a 13-member advisory group to the NBU Board of Trustees that brings together residents from across NBU’s service area to share ideas, provide feedback and offer community perspectives on utility issues and decisions. Seven members are nominated by the New Braunfels City Council, while the NBU Board of Trustees nominates six members.

CAP meetings are open to the public. Community members are encouraged to attend to learn more about utility topics and observe discussions.
