NBU NEWS RELEASE

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE: July 8, 2016

Contact: Gretchen Reuwer, NBU Public Affairs Manager, (830) 629-8486

Lane closures scheduled July 12 and 13 for Seguin Avenue

NEW BRAUNFELS—NBU crews will be making a temporary repair to a water main in the 600 block of Seguin Avenue on Tuesday, July 12 and possibly Wednesday, July 13, weather permitting. The work will require reducing traffic to one lane heading into downtown on Seguin Avenue between 8:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m.

“Our crews will be making needed repairs to a leak in the service line,” NBU Public Affairs Manager Gretchen Reuwer says. “A complete replacement of the service line in that area has been scheduled after the summer season in order to minimize the impact on traffic through town.”

The lane closure is necessary in order to maneuver equipment and vehicles, and to ensure the safety of the crews. Drivers are advised to seek an alternate route as delays can be expected during this project. Crews will be working to complete the project as quickly as possible to minimize any inconvenience to area drivers. Please direct questions about the work to the NBU Water O&M Division at (830) 608-8831.
