Position Summary

The Water Line Tech I performs tasks, under close supervision, requiring mechanical aptitude and physical labor to assist in the installation, maintenance, operation and repair of water distribution and wastewater collection infrastructure and operation of related tools and equipment.   Assignments are limited in nature, require physical effort for extended periods, and performed in accordance with detailed instructions.

Salary Range:$111,350.11 To $144,755.14 Annually

The Financial Analyst II provides advanced analytical and operational support for the Utility’s treasury, cash management, investments, debt management, capital funding, and financial planning activities. This position is responsible for performing complex financial analyses, coordinating debt and investment activities, monitoring capital project funding, and supporting strategic financial decision-making.

The Water Protection Specialist works under general supervision and is responsible for protecting NBU’s Public Water System from contamination by reviewing plans, inspecting residential and commercial development, interpreting complex water protection regulations, and maintaining a program to enforce applicable federal, state, and local regulations that govern backflow prevention devices, cross connections, auxiliary and reclaimed water systems, and private fire hydrant and protection systems.

New Braunfels Utilities (NBU) is seeking an individual for the temporary position of Water Systems SCADA Integrator Intern. This position will be responsible for assisting the Water & Wastewater SCADA Administrator in developing and maintaining New Braunfels Utilities’ Water and Wastewater SCADA infrastructure. Work is performed in accordance with well-prescribed procedures and defined objectives under close technical and methodological supervision.

$21.41/hour or Commensurate with Experience

The Plant Operator I is an entry-level position that focuses on achieving competency through learning and understanding a variety of technical work utilized for the operation of New Braunfels Utilities’ wastewater treatment systems, including the North and South Kuehler, Gruene Road, and Sam C. McKenzie treatment facilities.

$21.41/hour or Commensurate with Experience

The Plant Operator I is an entry-level position that focuses on achieving competency through learning and understanding a variety of technical work utilized for the operation of New Braunfels Utilities’ water production and treatment systems, including the Surface Water Treatment Plant, Trinity Membrane Treatment Plant, and groundwater production facilities.

$83,658.99/year or Commensurate with Experience

The Project Manager for Business Planning is responsible for working closely with the Program Portfolio Manager to deliver projects on time and within budget and scope across the enterprise.
