FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

(New Braunfels, TX – June 30, 2023) – New Braunfels Utilities (NBU) has been named a Top Ten Business Donor to the United Way of Comal County during its 2022 Employee Giving Campaign.

In 2022, NBU employees pledged more than $57,000, with 66% of employees contributing. There is no employer match for this community engagement opportunity. New Braunfels Utilities’ employees raised 100% of the amount pledged to continue the tradition of positively impacting our community.

“Since 2004, New Braunfels Utilities has been a Top Five or higher Business Donor to this worthy cause. I am so grateful to our NBU employees for understanding and answering the call to help those in need in our community and – stepping up to support our neighbors,” said Chief Strategic Communications and Security Officer Melissa Krause.

New Braunfels Utilities actively supports the United Way of Comal County in helping to improve the quality of life for individuals and families in Comal County. Whether it be NBU employees serving on the United Way of Comal County Board of Directors, volunteering for United Way events, or supporting their partner agencies, NBU is proud to show its support. Since 2008, the United Way has awarded over $6,500,000 to support more than 250 programs, including feeding the hungry, providing safety to those in danger, furnishing educational and fitness programs for our youth and elderly, and keeping the lights on for those in crisis.

New Braunfels Utilities is grateful to its employees for supporting our community – their neighbors and friends during the United Way of Comal County Employee Giving Program. We look forward to continuing the tradition this year.
