New Braunfels Returns To Stage 1 Water Restrictions
Effective March 10, 2022 –
While New Braunfels and the surrounding community have enjoyed Non-Drought water status since November 1, 2021, a lack of sufficient rainfall in recent months has caused a noticeable drop in water level in the Edwards Aquifer. Drought restrictions are triggered by the average 10-day water level of the Edwards Aquifer. On, March 9, 2022, The J-17 well hit 660.0-feet, triggering Stage 1 Drought Restrictions.
