Utility Related Traffic Impacts and Project Timelines Are Now Available at nbutexas.com.

(New Braunfels, TX – January 13, 2023) – Today, we are pleased to announce that New Braunfels Utilities (NBU) has launched its Traffic Impacts Map geographic information system, highlighting road construction events like lane, intersection, and road closures that may impact travel routes due to utility work.  New Braunfels Utilities launched its Traffic Impacts Map today online at nbutexas.com, allowing access to details about closures and the capital improvement projects under construction, project benefits, budget amounts, and when the projects are expected to be completed.

New Braunfels Utilities plans to invest more than $871 million into 153 projects over the next five years. These capital improvement projects are designed to provide our community with safe and resilient electric, water, and wastewater services.

“Committed to the NBU vision of being a trusted community partner dedicated to excellence in service, our staff continuously works to maintain, repair, and enhance infrastructure to ensure future generations enjoy reliable and resilient services,” said Chief Strategic Communications and Security Officer Melissa C. Krause. “These necessary improvements have the potential to create numerous road impacts. The new online tool is designed to benefit our community and beyond, to see the road impacts and understand the ‘why’ behind the closures.”

New Braunfels Utilities is committed to providing timely and important information to the community. The new Traffic Impact Map is another example of delivering on this commitment.
